Mesquite ISD Ben & Jo Ann Cross Elementary

MAY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Mesquite ISD’s new Ben and Jo Ann Cross Elementary School will lie in a newly developed residential area of Mesquite bordered by Shannon Loop, Chantilly Road, and Park Vista Drive. The property will be located south of I-20 in the southeast portion of the District and is being designed to hold up to 1,000 students. The overall floor plan and design of the school will mirror Hanby Elementary School, while exterior and interior colors have been redesigned to provide a unique experience for students. To maximize use of the storm shelter in emergency times other than tornadoes, a generator will be utilized for emergency power that will generate heat/air, receptacles, and lighting.
