An addition for new administration offices also provided an opportunity to create an updated entry for this existing high school. The new design matched the brick masonry, painted concrete and other elements of the existing exterior to blend subtly with the existing appearance. Other new materials of cast stone, and distinctive lighting elements create the desired new image. Bold new structural beams and translucent roof panels make a design statement to accent a new entryway. The administration addition interfaces the existing building with an inviting open appearance and upscale casework on the interior, that appears much more friendly to students and parents. The addition location kept the administration centralized in the school and helps to monitor activity in front entry area. The former administration spaces were renovated into offices for counseling and the nurse's clinic, and spread the positive impression of improvements into several areas of the school. The project included other miscellaneous improvements to the existing facility such as an elevator addition.
