The Lena Laughlin Auditorium pays homage to the original proposed design from the 1970s, embracing the Mission Revival architectural style. The exterior seamlessly integrates brick and cast stone to establish a cohesive connection with the adjacent band hall on the east side. The south façade is defined by a series of archways that soften the auditorium's tall volume, creating a welcoming, human-scaled entry. Beyond the archways, visitors step into a double-height lobby illuminated by expansive glass walls on the south side, while the north wall features warm wood finishes, adding a touch of sophistication. This spacious lobby serves as an elegant pre-function area for the 800-seat auditorium, where the interior continues the theme of refinement with wood-paneled walls that emphasize the building’s grandeur. Dressing rooms, located on the west side, are deliberately separated from public areas and housed within a smaller, efficient volume, ensuring both privacy and functionality.
